How it works
How it works

Stop waiting 30, 60 or 90 days to get paid.

With receivables financing, the invoices you have already earned become the collateral. Instead of waiting for your customer's payment terms to run out, a funding partner can advance against those invoices so the cash is working for you now.

Your business Delivers and invoices Your customer Pays on its terms $ Funding partner Advances against invoices Invoice on Net 30 / 60 / 90 terms Advance against the invoice Customer pays when due
1You deliver the goods or services and invoice your business customer as you normally do.
2The funding partner reviews the invoice and your customer, and advances an agreed share of its value.
3When your customer pays, the remaining balance, less the agreed fees, comes back to you.

Your cash gap

How much of your money is waiting on customers?

Move the sliders to see roughly how much revenue you have already earned but not yet collected. That balance is the starting point a receivables program can work with.

  • Cash tied up = monthly invoicing x (days to get paid / 30)
  • The longer your terms, the bigger the gap a program can help close

Questions

Receivables & asset-based funding, answered.

Is accounts receivable financing a loan?
It is typically structured around your invoices rather than as a traditional term loan. The funding partner advances against invoices you have already issued to business customers, and the advance is settled when those customers pay. The exact structure and terms are set out in the agreement offered to you.
Does my personal credit matter?
It is one factor, but receivables programs typically place significant weight on the strength of your customers and the quality of your invoices. The application asks for owner information because the funding partner may review personal and business credit.
Will my customers know?
Often, yes. Many receivables programs send a Notice of Assignment asking customers to remit payment to a designated account, and file a UCC-1 financing statement. The application you sign authorizes both, so please review the authorization section before you submit.
What is the difference between PO financing and A/R financing?
Purchase order financing helps before the work is delivered, by covering supplier costs to fill a confirmed order. Accounts receivable financing helps after you have invoiced, by advancing against the unpaid invoice. The two are often used together.
What is DIP financing?
Debtor-in-possession financing is funding for a business operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It can help cover payroll, vendors and operations during the restructuring, and it generally requires approval from the bankruptcy court.
Can government contractors apply?
Yes. Government contract funding is designed for prime contractors and subcontractors working on federal, state or local contracts, built around the invoices those contracts generate.
Does applying obligate me to anything?
No. Submitting an application does not obligate you to accept an offer, and it does not guarantee approval or funding. Canary Financial is not a bank or direct lender; requests may be fulfilled through third-party funding partners.
